Software tracks bloggers moods
By Mike DavisonReally cool piece of attitudinal social media intelligence from the Amsterdam Informatics Institute, courtesy of Organic via Steve B. It tracks the collective mood of Live Journal blogosphere based on what bloggers choose as their mood setting on the service. According to a scan of the last month, the Live Journal collective were at their most ’thirsty’ on 1st June.
Hmmmm. Some really interesting possibilities come to mind – particularly if you’re a soft drink company looking for an opportune time to introduce your product virally or through a sample campaign to key (parched) influencers. Other popular search tags include ‘shocked’, ‘nervous’, and ‘jubilant’. Let’s hope the English Live Journal contingent help register a spike in ‘jubilant’ come early July!
