Branding in SL

Panel discussion on branding in SL. At the moment the business infrastructure is pretty basic although offline business practices seem to be the way to develop and grow the economy. A now famous bubblegum machine vendor has resellers all over SL – with units in more than 2000 locations. Off-world advertising and marketing like manufacturer blogs and websites are being built to showcase products and services. WOM in-world also needs to be harnessed in order to spread word about new and innovative stuff. Building evangelist networks is as important here as off-world.

Much like the land panel debate previous to this, it seems as though economic and social issues worked out successfully in the real world apply equally in-world.
