Tweetvolume

By Mike Davison

Want to track keywords or phrase volumes on Twitter? Tweetvolume allows users see what the Twitter collective is buzzing about and make comparisons across a range of words and phrases. Here’s one I prepared earlier.

It’s a nice, simply tool for basic analysis of Twitter content. I am wondering what date range is used in the data and whether more complex search capabilities are in the pipeline.

The time-frame is the length of time Twitter has been around. The results are each an estimated (not by me!) count of the number of times a word or phrase has appeared in a Twitter post. I do this by simply asking Google. I actually have a version of the site that returns the most relevant posts from Twitter but because of Twitter’s down time of late that feature is pretty darn slow(!) and won’t be rolled out until they are once again running smoothly.
