Twestival: Tweet. Meet. Give.

Tonight 175+ cities around the world will be hosting Twestivals which bring together Twitter communities for an evening of fun and to raise money and awareness for the charity Water.

Why are we telling you this I hear you ask, well, there will be representatives from 1000heads going to Twestivals all over the UK. Working from North to South, we have Robbie going up to Edinburgh, Matt and my good self off to Birmingham, Colin organising the Oxford event, Siobhan and Simon heading to Bristol, Christine and Tom winging their way to Reading, Molly doing the London thing  and finally Donna and Simon going down to Brighton.

However, here at 1000heads we didn’t think this was enough so we endeavored to spread our wings and sponsor something outside this fine country. What better than a charitable bash which brings together Tweeple from the fastest growing social network?

As our buddy Tarek Esbar is organizing a Twestival in Doha it seemed like the perfect opportunity to spread the love and sponsor something abroad. So, that is why the lucky Tweeters of Qatar will be quenching their thirst and nibbling on something nice courtesy of us.

Even this was not enough to satiate our desire to get immersed. Stopping here just isn’t the 1000heads way, so we went on the hunt for another good cause we could get involved with. I give you the Team Gumball Style who plan to travel 700 miles and hit a selection of Twestivals. A little sponsorship later and you can see the rewards on the car design.

Lastly, and on a serious note, headwear is advised at all the Twestivals where we have attendees. Why? I’d not dream of spoiling the surprise here…
