Internet lovers: embrace the hoax

By Sam Chimes

In light of recent non-credible rumours of Jeff Goldblum’s death and unknown life forms harboured by North Carolina sewers, Mashable have put together a top 15 web hoaxes of all time post.

It all echoes the sentiments of many members of the various educational institutions that I’ve stumbled through – don’t believe everything you read online. Now I never really bought into this, occasionally to my own detriment; if I could find the dregs of something equating to a reference, I was including it. So click through and enjoy the brilliant and ludicrous contained in Josh Catone’s list of internet based japery - consider it a pre-weekend tonic. And how creepy is that Montauk beast…?
